Fixed-point Real Time Mri Reconstruction Using Connex Array

چکیده

This paper approaches the fixed-point computation involved in magnetic resonance image (MRI) reconstruction with most common technique, the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on a parallelcomputing machine, Connex Array. We will show that fixed-point computation is a good alternative in real-time magnetic resonance imaging reconstruction as it can seriously improve reconstruction time (about 75% better than using floating-point operations) when large amount of data must be computed and image quality is not critical (dynamic angiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging).
